Business Photoshoot: How to Do It Right?

A business photoshoot can seem like a significant challenge for both a small, multi-person company and an international corporation. If you are responsible for organizing such a session, you might be overwhelmed with questions and doubts, ranging from choosing the right contractor to being responsible for the session’s execution.

We have good news! You can entrust us with most of the burden related to organizing corporate image photography for your employees, CEO, or any other business-related photography.

The first step, of course, is to contact us. You can use our contact form or reach us by email or phone — all details can be found on the contact page.

Questions to consider are:

  • What purposes do you need the photos for? Is it for an email signature, or perhaps an advertising banner?
  • Where will we conduct the business photoshoot — at our studio, or perhaps at your office? We can rent another representative space for you — we collaborate with several co-working spaces. We can also go outdoors.
  • When will we conduct the session? Will it be possible to gather everyone on one day, or will it be necessary to divide the session over several days?
  • How many people will be photographed and the distribution of men and women. This will help us properly plan the session’s flow. Typically, 5 to 20 people can be photographed in one day, depending on the scope of the session. However, when necessary, we can photograph 100-120 people.
  • How should the photographed individuals be dressed — read our suggestions here.
  • Do you wish for a makeup artist — in most cases, the answer should be — YES. More on this topic in the post Makeup Artist — When It’s Worth It.
  • How many photos per person do you need — we always take more photos, and then select a specific number of the best ones — this is the quantity specified in our price lists and contracts.
  • What scope of photo editing will be suitable for you? This may depend, for example, on the intended use of the photos.

Additional questions worth asking yourself before the business photoshoot are:

  • What message should the photos convey, what emotions and associations should they evoke?
  • Is there a consistent corporate visual identity within the website or printed materials? It might be included, for example, in a brand style guide.
