Being an enthusiast is a bit like being a child \u2014 with a whole arsenal of primal fascination, the joy of creating something completely new. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If photography brings you joy, pursue it! With time and growing experience, you will likely find that reflection accompanies the initial joy. For example, that there are things in your photography that you would rather not see. <\/span><\/p>\n

If, over time, you wish to develop your skills by participating in photography workshops and exchanging experiences with other photographers, you will certainly have the opportunity to hone your abilities. You will then begin to notice certain details that make photography a truly powerful creative tool, capable of changing the world. <\/span><\/p>\n

A professional, on the other hand, is characterized by several traits that are not always associated with joy and enthusiasm. Instead, what emerges is repeatability of results and predictability. This, contrary to appearances, is a very important characteristic. Because when, let’s say, you come to a photographer to photograph your team for a website, you would want each employee to be presented in a consistent and thoughtful manner. When you return to them, you would want the result to be similar to that of the previous visit. It would probably not be desirable for this photographer, fascinated by some new experimental form of expression, to provide you with photos in which your colleagues look more like a work by Salvador Dali than professionals in their field, who inspire trust in the viewer. The same professional photographer, perhaps in the privacy of their home, creates incredibly innovative avant-garde works, but will refrain from experimenting on you. <\/span><\/p>\n

Equipment, of course, matters, but it remains merely an expensive object if it’s not wielded by a photographer with a keen eye for composition. This photographer is also somewhat of a psychologist, who, discreetly positioned behind the camera, should bridge the distance to make their model feel sufficiently at ease. Even for a fraction of a second, during the shutter’s opening, the combination of equipment and approach transforms business photography into a valuable tool that promotes services, ideologies, events, and products. <\/span><\/p>\n
